BALLET
The foundation for all dance subjects.  Students learn proper body placement and alignment.  Traditional methods are taught for strengthening technique and style.

TAP

Students will develop small muscle motor skills, rhythm, and musicality.  Learn traditional as well as up-to-date patterns and rhythms.

JAZZ

All styles are introduced.  Beginning with the traditional Broadway theatre technique, students learn movement in many jazz styles to all types of music

Biography: Jody Schrier, Instructor

Jodie is originally from Louisiana and was raised in a family of dancers. She began dancing at the age of 3 and teaching at the young age of 14. She has studied dance with instructors from Houston Ballet, Joe Tremaine, Steven Boyd, Gus Giordano, and LA Dance Force. In addition to teaching she has also performed as lead dancer and choreographed several musicals for Class Act Productions and Crighton Theatre which include The Sound of Music, Grease (Cha Cha), West Side Story (Anita), and Beauty and the Beast to name a few.

Jodie has also choreographed multiple winning routines for cheerleading teams as well asl Texas Natural Bodybuilding competitions. She resides in The Woodlands with her husband and daughter, who plays volleyball for College Park.

Jodie is anxious to share her love and passion for dance and performing!
