• Character roles for SINGIN' IN THE RAIN will be for ages 13 and older.
  • Production dates for SINGIN' IN THE RAIN will be April 12-21, 2024.
  • Auditions will be held Saturday, February 3, 9:00 AM-12:00 PM
  • Please sign up for an audition time by using the link above.
  • The audition will consist of two parts: singing and dance.
  • Prepare a short (1 min. or less) song. Bring sheet music in the correct key for the accompanist.
  • Class Act will provide an accompanist for the auditions.
  • Please plan to stay for a dance audition after you sing your prepared song.
  • Rehearsals for SINGIN' IN THE RAIN will begin Monday, February 26, 2024.
CHARACTERS:

Zelda Zanders - flapper socialite and actress on her ninth marriage (Lina's friend and informant)
R. F. Simpson - Successful film producer
Roscoe Dexter - Famous film director, frequently frazzled and works with Lina and Don
Cosmo Brown - a wacky and playful on-set pianist for silent films. Don's best friend and former dance partner
Lina Lamont - a slow-witted silent film diva with a big personality and a harshly unpleasant voice. She is Don's regular co-star
Don Lockwood - a suave Hollywood actor and dancer. Cosmo's best friend and Lina's regular co-star
Rod - an excitable film agent bordering on manic. He works for Simpson
Kathy Selden - an earnest, talented actress with wit and charm. She falls in love with Don and performs as Lina's speaking and singing voice.
Production Singer - the lead tenor in Monumental Picture's first movie musical
Miss Dinsmore - Lina's vocal coach. She is the "mother hen" type with caring affection for the younger performers.
